OUR FAMILY, OUR STORY

A family story,
among yerba mate fields and forest.

Familia frente al fondo dorado
Familia Schwitzer

We are the Schwitzer family. Our story here began in 1979, when we acquired the land that is now the visitor area of Piedras Blancas. Over the years, we opened paths and prepared spaces to welcome people coming to see the waterfall.

In 1996, we began adding more facilities. At first, we welcomed day visitors; later, we added tables, barbecue grills and restrooms for those who wanted to camp. The canteen and the first cabin followed, with more cabins added over time.

Piedras Blancas is part of an 87-hectare rural property where yerba mate fields, different farming activities and tourism coexist. Farm work remains part of our daily life.

Today, we continue to grow with the same idea: to share this corner of Misiones and welcome you with the warmth of a place cared for by its family.

FROM OUR YERBA MATE FIELDS

La Hilaria: from our fields to your mate

The on-site shop also stocks La Hilaria, our own yerba mate, grown in the yerba mate fields on the property.

It is part of our story and the family’s everyday work. Take a packet home and keep enjoying a taste of Piedras Blancas after your visit.
